One day, every child in our villages will learn, lead, and teach

OUR VISION

Why we exist

Our vision is a future in which every child in rural Himachal Pradesh, regardless of socio-economic background, has access to education that equips them with knowledge, confidence, intrinsic motivation, and the leadership to thrive. Children here never lacked curiosity. They lacked resources, guidance, and an environment that made dreaming feel allowed. That is the gap we close.

OUR JOURNEY

Our Journey - A Glimpse

In 2019, our founder moved to Tillu, a hamlet near Dharamshala that wasn't even on Google Maps, and began sitting with five children in a daily learning circle. No classroom, no curriculum, no hierarchy. One motto held it together: Padhenge aur Padhaenge.

When COVID-19 closed the schools, a village with no smartphones and no reliable internet had no "online classes" to fall back on. The circle grew instead of shrinking, and among the children we worked with directly, not one dropped out. In 2022 the circle became a registered charitable trust. Some of those first students are now college students, mentors, and founding members. Read the full story →

OUR VALUES

Our Values

Three values guide everything we do. Inclusivity: every child, regardless of caste, class, or background, belongs in the circle. Transparency: we publish what we can verify and label what is pending. Service: we are learners and teachers to each other, and the organisation exists to serve the community that built it.

Our Values

Our Key Focus Areas

A few things, done consistently since 2019

Samta Saathi

Leadership in action for rural children. Students who came up through our learning circles become Student Leaders, tutoring their peers and mentoring younger children. The leadership pipeline runs through the village itself.

Resources

Registration, annual and financial reports, and policies — published as they are released, so you can see how the work is governed.

Hariyari

Our environment program, rooted in the same principle as everything else we do: children leading work in their own villages, for the mountains that raised them.

Our Impact

Grassroots growth in numbers

We work directly with communities to ensure all support translates into tangible ground progress.

In Their Own Words

"Uncle school toh band hai, ab tuition bhi na lagaye."

Ishaan, one of our first five students, made this case against tuition on day one: if school was closed, tuition should be closed too. He lost the argument and stayed.
